Q. What does “mezé” mean?

A. Mezés are small plates served as a course or as appetizers before the main dish.


Q. Is Haig’s a family business?

A. Yes! Three members of the Takvorian family run the California business, and everyone who works here is considered part of the Haig’s family. 


Q. How long have you been in business?

A. Since 1956! We’re proud to be celebrating our 60th year as a family-owned California business in 2016.


Q. Do you use nuts in your products?

A. The only products that contain nuts are our Baklava and our Muhammara. Our other products are made in our facility where nuts are used to craft these products.


Q. Which of your products are gluten-free and wheat-free?

A. All of our dips, except for Muhammara, are gluten-free, as are our dolmas.


q. Which of your products are vegan?

A. All of our products are vegan except for our Tzatziki, Yogurt Based Dips, and Baklava.


Q. What’s your policy on using GMO ingredients?

A. We’re proud that all of our products except our Tzatziki are Non-GMO Project Certified. Our Tzatziki is made with non-GMO ingredients.


Q. Are your products kosher?

A. All of our dips, or mezés, are kosher.


Q. Do you use artificial colors and flavors?

A. Never have. And never will.
